About Me
Jamee Riggio Heelan, OTR/L, has 36 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist. As an education program manager in the Henry B. Betts, MD, LIFE Center, she utilizes her passion for teaching to empower patients, family, community and health care professionals. She published three children’s books about children living with different physical challenges. Her expertise includes working across all ages with diverse medical conditions such as Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Limb Loss, Stroke, Burns, Brain Tumors, Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease, among others. Jamee excels in mentoring healthcare professionals on patient education best practices, leading diagnosis-specific healthcare groups and developing customized booklets with illustrations for children's education sessions on family-related medical conditions.
