About Me

Richa Rai, PhD, is a Post Doctoral Fellow within the Max Näder Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She is currently investigating the use of video-based data collection methods and machine learning for infant development research. Dr. Rai received her Masters in both Computer Science and Psychology, and her PhD in Cognitive Science from Rutgers University. Her PhD work focused on motor control and the digitization of standardized clinical metrics, predominantly in autism and early childhood motor disorders. Richa's dissertation work involved the integration of sensor and video data in studying infant development, in the home and clinical settings.
