About Me

Chen Yang, PhD, is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Max Näder Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research (Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) and Northwestern University. He received his PhD degree in Kinesiology at McGill University in 2021, with a focus on biomechanics. His PhD research investigated human body adaptations to muscle fatigue from the perspectives of inter-segmental coordination, variability, and electromyography. Currently, his research at the Max Näder Lab is about using spinal cord stimulation combined with gait training to help stroke survivors improve functional gait.
