The Max Näder team conducts outcomes-based research using advanced wearable sensors in addition to traditional performance-based and patient-reported measures. Currently, the research group is very unique in that it is one of the few clinical centers to develop and execute both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation robotics, as well as other assistive and adaptive technologies.
The Max Näder Center was founded via a philanthropic endowment from Ottobock HealthCare to encourage independent research in clinical outcomes in the field of Prosthetics, Orthotics & Rehabilitation Robotics.
