About Me

Kathleen danced professionally with numerous ballet companies for over 15 years. Her passion for dance inspired her to study the science behind the art. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northwestern University. Kathleen currently treats women with musculoskeletal and pelvic floor disorders. She has extensive experience in treating the pre and postnatal population, athletes and dancers. She is the lead physical therapist for Shirley Ryan Ability Lab's Performing Arts Medicine Program, directed by Dr. Maria Reese, which helps coordinate care for both theater and dance companies. She has presented at the Performing Arts Medical Association international conference regarding postpartum recovery and return to the stage.
