About Me

Maria Reese, MD, enjoys caring for patients with various musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries and pains. She is able to provide ultrasound as well as fluoroscopically guided procedures in order to provide multiple treatment options to her patients. She has particular interest in caring for female athletes, and in women's health, adaptive sports and performing arts medicine.

Dr. Reese strives to help patients continue with their professional, artistic, and athletic endeavors throughout their treatment and thereafter. She has been the Medical Director of the Performing Arts Medicine Program at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab since 2014, caring for performers from Lookingglass Theatre Company, Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Goodman Theatre and Ravinia, among others. She also cares for students and aspiring professionals from various Chicago-area pre-professional schools and universities, including the Joffrey Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance, Roosevelt University, and Columbia College Chicago. Previously, she served as the Medical Director of the Joffrey Ballet and Chicago's Blue Man Group.

Dr. Reese is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
