In addition to his role as Attending Physician at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Daniel Goodman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Medical Director of PM&R consultation service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency through the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab). He serves as a member of the inpatient consultation service, providing input to the management of a variety of conditions in the acute care setting. In addition, he has expertise in spasticity management, neuromusculoskeletal ultrasound, adaptive sports, and neurologic rehabilitation. Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Goodman gained expertise in kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and thermoregulation with applications in enhancing human performance in sports and military settings. Dr. Goodman earned an advanced degree in applied anatomy and physiology and has numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and national research presentations to his name.
