Emillie Asuncion, OT, CLT

About Me

Emillie Asuncion has been an occupational therapist for more than 15 years now. She completed her clinical rotations at Stein Education Center in San Diego focusing on clinical care with children and at Johns Hopkins Howard County outpatient clinic. She started her career as a inpatient therapist on the brain injury and spinal cord unit, but now has been working in her dream position as a outpatient therapist. Her primary clinical work is with adult and children with a variety of diagnoses including neurological conditions, oncology rehab, lymphedema, and pain management associated with the upper extremity. She is past outpatient representative on the Occupational Therapy Practice Council. She currently serves as oncology champion and pain champion at the Burr Ridge Outpatient and DayRehab Center^®, in addition to being part of the lymphedema team. In 2016, She spoke with a colleague at CancerCon in Denver for StupidCancer Organization, a national young adult cancer survivorship support organization, on managing effects post cancer treatment.
