Neuromuscular Control Lab
Our lab is focused on the mechanisms underlying the multijoint control of movement and posture in able-bodied individuals and in individuals with neuromotor pathologies. Specifically, we are interested in understanding the relative contributions of intrinsic muscle properties, limb geometry and neural activation in the control of whole limb function.
view labAbout Me
Ridhi is a post-doctoral fellow in the Pathophysiology and Rehabilitation of Neural Dysfunction program. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where she examined the role of collagen organization on diaphragm muscle weakening during Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Ridhi is motivated to improve the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. She is particularly fascinated by the structure and function of skeletal muscle and its surrounding extracellular matrix. She utilizes experimental and computational modeling approaches to investigate questions at the interface of mechanics and physiology.
