Ioanna Karras

Ioanna Karras graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science with high distinction in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a double major in Clinical Psychology in 2023. She has worked as a research assistant since 2019, primarily on projects involving cancer, nutrition and epigenetics. She is currently a research assistant in Dr. Ishan's Roy lab and is working on developing a mouse model of cachexia to better understand the key factors that influence the disorder.
