This system is a very straightforward use of the looking glass display system combined with a tracking device called the Leap® tracking device. It tells the computer where your hands are, and then we ask the patient to do a bimanual task to move a virtual tray to different locations in space without letting a ball roll off.
This is an ongoing clinical trial, where we are testing the effects of Error Augmentation during this process. This treatment is blinded to the patient, the therapist, the rater, and the engineering operator. We have collected many patients already and hope to continue in a way where the patient or therapist might use it without needing an engineer.
