Please join us for an engaging in a 10-week education and support series focused on the mental well-being of people with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners. A Shirley Ryan AbilityLab clinical neuropsychologist, Lauren Piper, PhD, will lead this group. These sessions will include the following topics: stress management, sleep and daytime fatigue, emotional well-being, neuropsychiatric symptoms and management, cognition, emotions and communication strategies.
In order to participate, we ask that you commit to being at all 10 sessions (barring unexpected circumstances). There will be multiple opportunities to participate later if taking part now does not work in your schedule.
Lauren will host two groups, one for people in the earlier stages of PD and their respective care-partners, and another for people who are later in the stages of PD and their care-partners. If you are unsure of which group is best suited for you, our team can assist.
These sessions will take place via zoom initially until it is safe to meet in person. Series is projected to begin the week of June 6th.
- (Update: June 30, 2022): Thanks to the tremendous interest from the PD community, we will be repeating this for new participants in September.
