The Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR) at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab was awarded the Rehabilitation Research Training Center (RRTC) on Employment for People with Physical Disabilities to promote job retention by persons with physical disabilities. This grant will:
- Conduct a randomized control trial comparing a telehealth pain self-management intervention
- Assess employer-, client-, job-, and environment-related barriers and facilitators of job retention
- Evaluate an implementation science approach to employment interventions in people with Parkinson’s disease (PD)
- Evaluate job accommodation strategies and assistive technology resources for rural and low resource environments
With this award, we hope to develop support for evidence-based interventions, further our understanding of barriers and facilitators of job retention, and identify strategies to assist those in low resource settings. We aim to engage others through knowledge translation (KT) to enhance employment outcomes for indivieduals with disabilities and professionals.
Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will assist in the design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research and development in collaboration with a research team. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will also participate in health services research projects focused on evaluating access, quality, cost-effectiveness and outcomes. Additionally, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for performing a full range of research related activities, facilitating training programs, developing publications and grant writing. We will be recruiting actively in Fall 2020 for a position to begin Summer or Fall 2021.
