On December 11, Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research Director Allen Heinemann, PhD, presented on the Rehabilitation Measures Database as part of CARF International's "Standard and a Strength" webinar series. He was invited to present by Terrence Carolan, medical rehabilitation managing director, CARF International.
The RMD has more than 550 rehabilitation measures as well as educational materials and a networking group on LinkedIn.
Dr. Heinemann's presentation described the purpose and use of the RMD, it's growth over the past 10 years and how measures are summarized and updated with the help of educator, student and clinician partners. He also discussed a National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)- funded project to increase the use of rehabilitation measures among clinicians and students and improve understanding of measures through the development of infographics.
