About Me
About Me
Becca graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders and psychology in 2018 and from Rush Medical Center with a degree in speech-language pathology in 2020. During the height of the pandemic, Becca began working at an inpatient rehabilitation facility, working with many COVID+ patients. During this experience, Becca developed an interest in working with patients with swallowing deficits (dysphagia) and advocating for patients to receive proper instrumental swallow studies before altering a patient’s diet and/or recommending appropriate strategies or exercises. Becca then joined Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in 2022. Becca is now a licensed SPEAK OUT! provider and a McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program provider, allowing her to provide specialized evidenced-based treatment to patients with varying speech and swallowing-related diagnoses. It is Becca’s passion to continue to provide a perfect balance of evidenced-based treatment and person-centered care.
