About Me

Betsy Montgomery PT, DPT, WCS, is a Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physical Therapist practicing at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2017 and became a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) in 2021. Betsy believes anyone with a pelvis deserves access to thoughtful, specialized care. She treats all ages and genders dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction including: urinary incontinence, bowel dysfunction (constipation and fecal incontinence), pelvic pain, gender affirming and perinatal care as well as pelvic and reproductive cancer. Betsy is passionate about treating constipation and has advanced training in this area. She is also a trained birth doula and enjoys working with the perinatal population, especially for birth preparation. Outside of clinical practice, Betsy is passionate about PT pelvic health education. She serves as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Academy of Pelvic Health Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health practice (CAPP-Pelvic), helping to develop and teach pelvic health PT courses to physical therapists across the country.
