Jeannette Wider, an occupational therapist in Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s Wheelchair Seating and Positioning Center, was quoted in a recent article in USA Today’s Reviewed section on adaptive strollers.
For the story, Jeannette offered background on the important benefits that such equipment can provide.
“All children deserve to participate in anything an able-bodied kid their age would do,” she said. “An adaptive stroller might be the best option to safely get a child out of the house and experience the world, [which can] be the difference between going to the zoo with family and friends versus staying home.”
