Shirley Ryan AbilityLab's Adaptive Sports & Fitness Program offers an incredible Adaptive Mountain Biking program that gets riders off paved pathways and onto the thrill of gravel trails and single-track courses in the Chicagoland area. The weekly program utilizes a variety of beautiful trail systems throughout Cook County and beyond. If you're looking for a good workout or want to spend time in nature, this program is for you.
Join us for an energizing ride through forest preserves, opening your world to the thrill of mountain biking.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, you'll build confidence on the trails and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of cycling in nature's majestic settings.
Fitness Level: Beginner or experienced riders are welcome
When: Year-round, Fridays, 9–11:30 am

- Big Marsh Park, 11559 S Stony Island Avenue, Chicago, IL 60617
What is provided:
A variety of adaptive mountain bikes like handcycles and foot-pedaled cycles are provided with helmets, guidance from experienced coaches and lessons tailored to your skills. Participants should bring their own source of hydration. Cycles have a water bottle holder attached.
What to wear:
Please dress appropriately for the weather. We bike in rain, snow and sunshine.
