Overcoming Challenges: Evaluation & Treatment of Sensory-based Feeding Disorders in Children
Description: This webinar will provide information on the evaluation and treatment of sensory-based feeding disorders for a variety of ages and diagnoses. This webinar will include information on how to overcome challenges in identifying, evaluating and treating this population across a variety of settings. Course topics will also discuss ways to modify your treatment plan to serve the need to families experiencing mealtime stress for children with a variety of underlying diagnoses including cerebral palsy, dysphagia and brain injury. Ideas and strategies for incorporating therapy into the home will also be provided.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify when therapy is appropriate for children with feeding disorders
- Determine ways to deliver effective therapy within your setting for a
given diagnosis - Construct ways to help families measure progress outside of therapy
