Obesity & Weight Management: Considerations of Rehabilitation
Description: This webinar will review contributors to obesity and the relationships between obesity and chronic health conditions. We will review the effectiveness and evidence-base supporting a variety of obesity treatments including diet, physical activity, behavioral, pharmacological and surgical approaches. Emphasis will be placed on the practical aspects of providing obesity education and counseling to assist individuals in attaining and maintaining a healthy weight.

Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify contributors to obesity and the relationship between obesity and physical challenges such as arthritis, pain and stroke
- Summarize the effects of weight status on rehabilitation and effects of rehabilitation on weight status
- Identify key components to weight management including starting a conversation about weight and weight management and behavioral strategies
- Explain benefits of weight management on physical impairments and conditions
