The Novel Use of Ultrasound in Physiatry

Description: The use of ultrasound has grown exponentially over the past few years in the field of physiatry. In addition to more traditional diagnostic and interventional applications in the musculoskeletal clinic, ultrasound is now being used in other areas of physiatric practice, such as image-guided spasticity interventions and electrodiagnostics, evaluation of the diaphragm for patients with respiratory or neuromuscular conditions, and real-time assessments of injuries in sports medicine on the field or training room.  Join us for a one hour panel discussion with leading experts who are using ultrasound in novel and innovative ways and explore how this modality in clinical practice has evolved.

Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • List three novel uses of ultrasound in clinical practice
  • Describe how ultrasound technology might evolve in the next 5–10 years
  • Identify two ways your practice may benefit from ultrasound
