Lower Limb Amputation: Surgical Principles & Medical Management

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION
This webinar will review medical rehabilitation management and surgical complications, such as pain, edema and skin issues for patients following an amputation. We will examine the etiology and levels of lower limb amputation while discussing wound management, osseointegration, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment for neuropathic and phantom limb pain (PLP) as well as psychological factors in the post-operative period. Finally, the role of the rehabilitation professional will be reviewed to ensure optimal intervention and recovery for this patient population.

  2. Analyze surgical principles and techniques for amputation
