WEBINAR DESCRIPTION
In this introductory webinar therapists will be introduced to lower extremity serial casting, with emphasis on casting of the ankle. Through education, participation in case studies and video demonstrations, attendees will learn indications and contraindications to casting in order to understand when a referral to serial casting is appropriate. This webinar is not intended to provide competency for hands-on skill completion in a clinical setting but is intended to provide an introduction to the world of serial casting.

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Define the purpose, evidence and process of serial casting for addressing a joint contracture
  2. Identify key aspects of a patient case used to determine the appropriate lower extremity casting prescription and application
  3. Verbalize indications and contraindications for a referral to serial casting

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and assessment in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
