Webinar Description
Work smarter, not harder! This webinar will provide an overview of blood flow restriction (BFR) exercise strategies and highlight how they can be incorporated into an exercise training program. Information will be provided regarding the acute responses and mechanisms of adaptation to BFR exercise and the typical improvements in fitness characteristics from BFR training. Guidance on how to use BFR during exercise will be provided, including using BFR to optimize rehabilitation after injury. Finally, safety considerations for implementing BFR will be discussed.

Learner Outcomes
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Define the physiology of blood flow restriction training
  2. Identify potential applications of BFR, potential adverse effects and contraindications
  3. Summarize evidence of BFR for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions

Successful Completion
